The Gary HowardK'Gari Special is a good allround surf rod rated at 5-7kg with 30- 50g cast weight. Using a CR6145 fibreglass blank - nice and tippy with a bit of power in the butt. Kgarri Special

The Gary Howard Kgarri special 1 piece low mount with an Alvey 650a surf reel and 6kg mono line is my preferred set up. Covers most of your bread and butter species and performs like a dream. I would say the action is medium to slow and such a pleasure to fish with. Light but strong and casts superbly. I just can't fault this set up.
